WHAT IS JESMONITE AC100?
Jesmonite AC100 Kits are made up of two parts, an acrylic polymer liquid and a mineral resin powder. When mixed together at a ratio of 2.5 powders to 1 liquid by weight, they create a thicker, pourable liquid that can be poured into a mould to create a piece that’s totally unique.
It’s also solvent-free and contains no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), keeping the air around you clean so you can just have fun!
Unlike epoxy resin, you won’t have to wait long to see your finished product. Jesmonite cures quickly and is usually ready to remove from the mould in 20-30 minutes. It’s great for those of us who lack patience but it also makes it the ideal material to work with if you’re planning on retailing your creations!
WHAT IS JESMONITE AC100 USED FOR?
Jesmonite AC100 has the versatility and adaptability to work for a whole variety of applications. From home décor such as coasters, ornaments and trays to larger scale projects, there’s something for every maker.
Customise your creations to match any décor by using the wide range of Jesmonite pigments to create completely bespoke colours. If you want to add a metallic finish, you can add metal fillers, and if your piece needs additional strength, reinforcements can be added.
WHAT DOES THE FINISHED PRODUCT FEEL LIKE?
A finished Jesmonite piece feels like smooth stone. Although lightweight to work with, the finished product will actually have a little weight to it, making it feel more luxurious and well-made. It gains its strength early in the curing process, and when fully-cured, it’s tough stuff! Watch our Instagram reel, and see for yourself!
CAN I ADD DECORATION TO MY PIECES?
We’re not kidding when we say there’s tons you can do with Jesmonite. You can create stunning terrazzo designs, play around with marbling, add gold foil, and the list goes on. There’s so much to experiment with, you won’t want to put it down! Why not check out our blog to see some of the amazing things you can do with your Jesmonite creations?
