Polyvine Heavy Duty Extreme Varnish

For use on interior and exterior surfaces requiring an ultra-tough waterproof finish with UV protection. Polyvine Heavy Duty Varnish water-based crosslinked polyurethane with advanced resin technology brings the highest protection single pack ever developed. For the ultimate protection of interior and exterior surfaces to an industrial level of finish. UV blocking and absorption reduce greying, aging and deterioration of surfaces. Biocides protect against mildew, mould and fungus.

Available in satin and dead flat finishes.

To achieve full UV protection apply 3 coats of satin before a final coat of dead flat.

Preparation

Remove all traces of old finishes, dirt, oil, wax and grease. These may have impregnated the surface and can cause failure. Sand in direction of the grain to provide a key. Thoroughly clean after sanding.

Application

Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake. Apply 3 coats with a synthetic varnish brush . On new softwood and porous surfaces dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain.
For a dead flat finish with high durability and stain resistance, apply 2 coats of satin followed by 1 of dead flat. Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed.

Caution

Always test over dark colours and porous emulsion paint. Existing contaminants can be drawn through the paint film. Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats. Do not continuously submerge in water. Test for compatibility before application.

Storage

Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application.

Keep out of reach of children.
Contact with eyes – wash immediately with warm water.
Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water.
Do not empty excess into drains or watercourses.
