Bespoke Furniture Maker

"As a bespoke furniture maker I love pushing the boundaries of furniture as simply functional and instead producing organic furniture that excites and makes one question how it was even made."

I started working as a furniture designer and maker from a simple desire to create beautiful things. I had originally studied Materials Science at Oxford, where we learnt about all sorts of impressive engineered materials, but no natural materials. After a few years of intellectual property law in this field, I decided to retrain and studied at Rycotewood. I am now resident at the Sylva Wood Centre. Whilst it can be challenging to work with, wood’s beauty and tactility is without parallel, and I seek to showcase this in the work that I do.

As well as using timber for making furniture, I am also in the process of planting woodland with a view to high quality timber production for the generations to come.
